It covers the entire area from the Ionian Islands to the Aegean, Rhodes and Crete and includes details of over 450 harbours in a single volume. Greek Waters Pilot has been painstakingly compiled from the author's own survey work and the latest first hand information.
This tenth edition coincides with the twenty-fifth anniversary of the launch of the original Greek Waters Pilot. As with each preceding edition this one includes further updating and improvement. Between 2005 and 2007 Rod Heikell and his wife Lu revisited much of the Ioinian, Saronic and Dodecanese in their present yacht, Skylax, picking up new information, additional photographs and updated plans.
The organisation of detail within the confines of a single volume is an impressive achievement and has been the basis of Greek Waters Pilots' status as the indispensable guide for anyone sailing around Greece. Where it has seemed suitable expanded and supplementary information is now avaible in the author's more local pilots which are companions to this volume.
