For each area described in this book the initial shelter is specifically identified. This is a followed by a detailed pilotage plan which takes the navigator from safe water out of the sea to that shelter with little or no use of a GPS position. The reader will also notice that the shore side information is very comprehensive with details of things to do and see and how to get around. Often, however, the guide books disappoint, with little information on a coastal region for sailors who also have needs and tourist interests. This book seeks to address imbalance as well deliberaty setting out to view the history of the shore from the context of the sea, which, for Galicia, is fundamental to understanding and enjoying it.
